SORO Peace Picnic – Sunday, August 19, 2018
The RVNA Board has voted to join the supporters South Robertson Neighborhood Council, City Councilmen Herb Wesson and Paul Koretz as well as multi-denominational and non-sectarian groups to host the annual Peace Picnic at Reynier Park, normally held at the Robertson Recreation Center.
The Peace Picnic is an opportunity for the people of the South Robertson community in Los Angeles to come together for a peaceful afternoon in the park.
“Specifically, the Peace Picnic is not political and not religious. This event’s purpose is to promote peace, knowing that peacefulness will make use more effective agents for peace on earth and to express what is universal rather than diverse, healing and nurturing over challenging and confronting, and, at least for a few hours, just fun, relaxing and inspiring.” ~ Mrs. HarSimran K. Khalsa
